Take a Couple Virtual Tours
So, we’re approaching things a bit differently this week. With everything being closed and opened and closed and… opened etc. over the last few years, a lot of places have made tours available for folks to “visit” places from their own homes. I want you to take a couple of tours to think through how place is talked about and presented in different ways. I definitely encourage you to take advantage and have some fun with it. Also, as you explore, be sure to notice all the different aspects of the place you’re touring, the qualities, the purpose, the character, who is there, why it’s important, etc.
Ideally, you’ll have done at least one or two tours by your group meeting on Tuesday.
I’ve included some options below, but if you find your own, that’s totally fine… (just be sure to make note of the link for your group meeting on Tuesday).
- “Here’s a List of All the Virtual Tours You Can Take Right Now—for Free!” (from Taste of Home… definitely not “all” the tours, but certainly a pretty decent list)
- 30 Amazing Virtual Tours of Museums, Zoos, and Theme Parks
- The World’s 15 Best Virtual Tours To Take During Coronavirus (Forbes… you might have to pause your ad-blocker, but it’s worth it)
- “Here Are Some Incredible Virtual Tours To Help You Pass The Time” (from Refinery29… some of these are repeated on a couple of the lists, but there are some pretty cool ones here as well)
